Call for Nominations for District Leaders 2024-2025

Dear District 97 Toastmasters,

Dear District 97 Toastmasters,

Nominations sought for the positions of District 97 Officers (District Director, Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, and Division A, B, C, and V Directors) for the term 2024-2025 are now open.

If you are passionate in advancing your leadership skills through serving the District, please carefully consider the attached materials: ‘District Leader Qualifications and Responsibilities’ before completing and submitting your (1) District Leader Nominating Form, (2) Candidate Application, (3) District Leader Biographical Information, (4) District Leader Agreement and Release Statement, and (5) professional photo (must be at least 180 x 180 pixels).

In case you want to nominate a fellow member, please ensure that they are interested and willing to serve the District.

Nomination eligibility
1. At the time of taking office, the District Director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a Club President and at least 12 consecutive months as a Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director or Division Director or a combination thereof.

  1. At the time of taking office, the Program Quality Director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a Club President and at least 12 consecutive months as a Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director or Division Director or an Area Director or a combination thereof.
  2. At the time of taking office, the Club Growth Director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a Club President and at least 12 consecutive months as a Program Quality Director, a Club Growth Director or Division Director, Area Director or a combination thereof.
  3. At the time of taking office, the Division Director shall have served at least six consecutive months as a member of a District Council.

Please note

  1.  member may only be a candidate for elective office in one (1) District at any given time. 
  2. A member may only serve in one (1) position within any District Executive Committee at any given time.
  3. Pursuant to changes in the rules governing District Elections, all floor candidates must have been evaluated by the District Leadership Committee by the same deadline as nominated candidates.
  4. All fully completed forms must reach D97 Director’s Office c/o District Leadership Committee/DLC Chair, Apisara Sritulanon, at apisarasri@gmail.com before 31 January 2024 (midnight). Nominations and documents received after the deadline will not be considered.
  5. All nominated candidates will be interviewed by the District Leadership Committee.
